Does Acne Free by University Medical really work? It claims to be better than proactive and cheaper. I have moderate acne and oily skin caused by pcos. I'm just really tired of it, I'm 20 years old and I shouldn't have acne.

lauren =) replied: "yeah, it's just like proactiv."

oxEmxo replied: "my brother uses it and it it keeps acne from coming but he started it after he had acne so it didnt like COMPLETELY clear his acne up but it does work pretty good. just remember that medications work differently on everyone so even if something says it better, it may not be for you."

Shirla S replied: "Unfortunately your not alone with the acne problem. At 55 sometimes they appear on me. If you have oily skin that is why. I use a great product from sally beauty supply that has helped me . I wish they had , had this product when i was growing up. Its called Beyond belief, ABH. Its made special for people with oily skin. and has a oil free moisturizer as well. Visit your local sally beauty supply store in your area, the staff will be happy to help you with any skin problems you are having. hope this helps"

dr kate mead replied: "if you're looking for a good acne treatment product, you should check the review done by . it has listed proactiv as the 4th best acne treatment product in the market. i would advise that you stick with the known and trusted brands, and not to use hit-and-miss method with your skin. good luck!"

Users of Acne Free Clear Skin Treatment, by University Medical: Does it work? I used ProActiv and it worked very well, but it was too expensive for me. I just bought this product and was wondering if it worked well, since it seemed very compatible to ProActiv.

Noelle replied: "Yes it does work. My older sister Tatinana uses it and she has no zits. LOL"

Acne Free Clear Skin Treatment, by university medical? How long do you have to wait, to see change. I am scared its not working, the first i tried it, it worked. This is the second time, and it seems like its not working. Plz help, watt should i do ?

Should I continue using Acne Free or not?? OK recently as of 5 days I have been using "Acne Free" from University Medical( I'm 15 years old and male), I am seeing improvement in my face really quickly but on the flip side, while I'm putting on the 3 step treatment, my face becomes so irritated and turns red, also recently it has been seeming that the more I use it the worse the irritation is( I apply this 3 step treatment twice a day). My skin has become dry but its not really noticable but I can feel the dryness of my skin and i have started to worry if my skin will get even dryer so instead of applying this treatment twice a day, just today I started using it only once a day. So if it has been irritating my skin and drying it so far is it possible that this will stop if i continue using it or should I just stop using this treatment? What should I do? misstalkalot123 replied: "after doing the three step try using an oil control moisturizer, does the 3 step treatment come with a moisturizer? if not, your going to want to use one. That may reduce the irritation & dryness of your skin"

Sydney replied: "i think you should use this only ONCE a day, then gradually build up to two applications. :)"

Erika replied: "I'm also 15, I used acne free and it made me break out. I didn't even really have acne, I just wanted to clear up a few pimples but this product basically gave me acne. It sucks, I trashed it and so should you."

Symphony L replied: "Ditch the treatment, that should not happen. This is much less expensive. MUCH LESS EXPENSIVE! and faster results. I went to my dermatologist and she gave me a copy of this book that she got from a great website on getting rid of pimples and acne and keeping your skin clear. Me and my girlfriends did as the book said and we started school definitely with clearer skin. I highly recommend it. Check it out at. The book comes with a personal consultant that you can ask questions to and get the right answers. Peace, Sl"

Laura replied: "you should continue using it only once a day, and if the irritation gets worse or doesn't die down, then stop using it all together. you might be allergic to something in it. if the irritation still doesn't subside then see a dermatologist immediately"

best wash to get rid of acne?? well i'm 14 years old and have acne. blackheads on nose, zits on forehead and chin.. you know the deal. it's not SO bad but i'd really like to get rid of it. i don't have very sensitive skin, and my skin is oily (acne prone definitely). i've tried proactive, clean&clear 3 (or two, i don't remember) step system, neutrogena advanced solution, and just plain acne washed (not all at once, lol) and none have really worked for me. right now im trying the clinique 3 step system and it's working okay, i know i have to be patient. but i wanted to see if university medical acne free or something else was really good. how about you guys that had (or have) similar problems (i know im not alone lol)? what are your guys' favorite wash??

Mike007 replied: "I hear you. I'm 14 and have been dealing with acne for years now. I went to buy Proactiv and at first it was amazing, then about 2 months into it my skin got very dry and VERY flaky. So I went to go see a dermatologist and she gave me cream and pills. Now I'm under 'Control' with this medication but I still use Proactiv occasionally. I've used so many products though its not even funny. But go around, and find what works for you, everyone is different ."

Tippy08 replied: "I've got pretty much the same thing - oily skin and I mostly get zits on my forehead. I've been using cetaphil because my mom's dermatologist recommended it to her. I found out it's what most dermatologists recommend anyways. I get it at Costco. Check out their site: good luck with that."

N N replied: "I had really bad acne for a while. i tried a lot of stuff and it all worked at first but then stopped working except for one. What i did to get rid of my acne was i used some nutrogena "On the spot" Acne Treatment to dry it out and then i used proactive face wash to keep it gone. Its only a temporary thing though. After about 2-3 months i would go to a dermatologist and they would probably give you this cream and pills and they work excellent. There are other things you can get to. But i found this method to be the best. Good Luck!"
