Male Hair Loss...? Has anyone ever found a way to fix frontal hair recession? Especially in guys who are relatively young to have this happen?
Mister Nice Guy replied: "There's only one cure for Male Pattern Baldness, and you don't want it. Castration will remove the source of testosterone that induces MPB."
rudenski replied: "Neem Oil has helped me regrow hair. Blue Green Algae is known to regrow hair. Cold Pressed Olive Oil rubbed into the area and left on overnight will help. Coconut Oil.
Forget the castration stuff. Fear nothing. Drink lots of water.
Avoid Shamppos with Sodium Layryl Sulfate.
Baldness Caused by SODIUM LAURYL SULFATE in most shampoo and soap.
Make your own shampoo
Stick with whatever you try long enough to give it a chance to work. Do your own research. Educate instead of medicate."
Frontal Hair Loss? I'm a 21 year old Male and 2 months ago I cut my hair to 2"s from the 11"s I had. At that time, I also noticed I had especially noticeable hair loss on the top left side of my head. It's like a deep receding hair line, but it's more so thinning out than receding. The rest was fine at the time, but now 2 months later, the whole frontal part of my head is thinning. I got it colored a few days ago which probably didn't help. It feels like I'm losing more hair in this area everyday and it's not getting better. I was told I was going to lose my hair in this area like my Grandpa (Mother's side), but at almost 22, isn't that too early? What can I do about it? Would a doctor find anything, or would he just take $100 from me and tell me it's genetics and there's nothing I can do about it.
I did lose 15 pounds in 1-2 months after I started my job (same time I got my hair cut). Basically, from 11 am to 9:45pm-ish, on weekdays, I don't really get a chance to eat. I still do try to eat healthy and excersise when I can, but not as well as I could before I started my job. Maybe that is playing a factor, but will improving my diet, taking vitamins and such help me grow at least some of my hair back. I would be okay with a receding hair line, but if things continue at this pace, I just might shave my head.
How do I volumize *and* curl my hair? My hair is problematic to the point that I used to just get a buzz cut so I wouldn't have to deal with it, but within the last few years, I've realized that that style just doesn't look good on me. When I started to grow my hair out again, I discovered that I actually have a bit of natural curl to it, which is something I'd like to emphasize. Unfortunately, my hair turns into a frizzy mess if I don't add any products to it. (At the same time, I'd rather my hair not be crunchy, and I've been having a difficult time finding a product that doesn't give it that consistency.) To add to my problems, my hair has also been thinning quite a bit lately in front (despite me only being 30), so now my scalp is quite visible when I use styling products. Add to that a case of oily, flaky scalp and you've got a pretty difficult case on your hands.
As of right now, I'm using Progaine volumizing shampoo and Pantene Full & Thick Conditioner to volumize (neither of which seem to work very well), Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Hair & Scalp Treatment for the flakes (which works better than any of the dandruff shampoos I tried), and Aveda Be Curly cream for styling afterwards. (I'm also using Rogaine foam to try to keep my hair from thinning out more than it already has. I know it's mainly meant for male pattern baldness and not frontal hair loss, but I'd read that tests have proven successful for about 50% of the subjects.) I recently started using a hair dryer as well (I've tried both with and without a diffuser), but it doesn't seem to make much of a difference. When I'm done with all this, my hair isn't nearly as curly as I'd like, the cream makes it too crunchy, and my scalp is still fairly visible.
So the question is, is there anything else I can do, or am I pretty much fighting a losing battle here?

hair loss in front? I've had some hair loss in frontal part of my scalp and would like to know if there's any good options for that. So it's not patchy hair loss, it just wont grow back in front as much. Well anyway, it's kind of embarrassing. Is there any effective options anyone? male pattern baldness does not run in my blood. Thanks.
TOMCTOM replied: "I actually used Rogain with very good results when that medicine first came out. I wanted to see if it worked and it did and the only bad part of it is that you have to use it everyday and it was a pain in the arse.
I have since just let it all go, low maintenance."
big mama replied: "There is something that can be put on your scalp that sometimes help with the regrowth of hair. See your doctor and they will tell you the name of it. Or you can always shave your head. I know many men who are doing that and they look pretty hot!"
Woden501 replied: "I decided years ago that if I ever start to go bald that I'm going all the way and taking it all off."

M.D. Alison C replied: "no! they do not work!
I have tried and nothing....
anyway as we know - hair loss can be caused by many different reasons! Find out the actual cause of hair loss! There are many causes of loss of hair such as stress, poor nutrition ,medications, thyroid dysfunctions, illness, fungal infections ,hormonal problems, to mention a few.
year ago my husband suffered from hair loss too and he started trying everything you can imagine to stop his hair loss. the things that really worked for him was:
1) Vitamin A - an anti-oxidant which promotes healthy production of sebum in the scalp;
2) Vitamin E stimulates circulation. Good blood circulation in the scalp is important in keeping hair follicles productive. The 'B' vitamins contribute to melanin, which gives hair its healthy color and also stimulates blood circulation;
3) massage is also beneficial. Massage stimulates circulation. As already noted, good circulation in the scalp keeps hair follicles active. Experts suggest a few minutes of daily head massage by hand. Circulation through massage may be improved by using a few drops of lavender or bay essential oil in an almond or sesame oil base with massage;
4) Try rubbing your scalp with garlic juice, Onion Juice or Ginger Juice(you can either of one out of three, Do not mix any of two or three);
5) also he used herbal treatment - TrichoZed
It is a good product that helps prevent hair loss and it is an FDA approved product. I think it is very important!
It worked and still works for him!
I do not know if any pharmacies carry TrichoZed but I do know that you should purchase it directly from the manufacturer and read more about the product here
It enhances hair growth by blocking DHT (Dihydrotestostrone) - a major cause of hair loss!
good luck!
not only my and my husband`s own personal experience"
