Who else has known about diabetes before Nick Jonas? It's amazing that he has inspired girls all over to donate to diabetes reasearch and all types of funds, but if I make a comment about Nick Jonas or something( I personally don't like him or his brothers, my opinion, not yours) the person I make my comment to tells me how I should feel bad about him and his diabetes! If anything, they should feel bad for my family, my grandpa died from it, and more than 5 family members(including one from my family, as in mom, dad, sister, etc) has it! And I doubt the fans even have a clue about what It is! If you're a fan and knew about it before the Jonas brothers, snaps for you. by the way, I'm not saying not to feel bad for Nick Jonas, I'm just saying that they should feel bad for the millions of other people who have it too.

aprilx247 replied: "You're right. People should be aware of diseases such as diabetes before a celebrity comes along and finally gets everyone's attention. I personally love the Jonas Brothers, but I knew about diabetes way before."

Joe Jonas is my SUPERMAN<33 replied: "I've known about his Diabetes for about 8 months. I think because of him people are more aware of Diabetes. And I pray for anyone who has to go through it, not just Nick SO THANKK YOUU NICK<33"

Annamarie [Pro 80s & 90s] replied: "I completely agree. I'm sorry he has diabetes and all, but he's not the only one. He's still not anymore special than anyone else. My grandmother had it. My aunt has it. A kid I used to go to school with had it. And some other people I know has it. I agree, some fans probably didn't even know what it was before Nick Jonas (or they still may not know). And there is also worse things people have than diabetes. Why should we worship and "feel bad for" Nick Jonas when there are worse things people have? No one has to like him just because he has diabetes, and if that's all they like him for, then some "fans" they are."

Heathen replied: "I have known about diabetes since I could understand it. Like really young. My maternal grandfather had it and my paternal grandmother had it. My mom said she is in the beginning stages of it or something like it. I'll probably get it. I don't listen to the Jonas Brothers and their obsessive fans are annoying, but it is good to raise awareness about something like that. I just hope that the money donated goes more for research than to "advertising" like many other disease charities."

BaybiGurl replied: "thats soo right.. people shouldnt just care about diabetes jus cuz nick has it (i dont like nick or his brothers..not against him i just dont listen to the music that they make) anyhoo .... people should care about the people who have diabetes and just dont feel sorry for nick. in my opinion i dont give a rats ass about nick or his diabetes cuz its like the world just cares about HIM! my grandmother has it and i love my gradmother with all my heart and i dont want her to go thru it...."

Loyal23 replied: "Im not a fan,but like you,i have family members who have it.I had a friend in elementary school who had it.Ive known about it for many years On the one hand,Im glad Nick opened their eyes to this.you gotta remember, some of their fans are young, and a lot of them haven't heard of it.Its good that they know about it and are donating to a worthy cause. on the other hand, they shouldn't freak out because he has it.if taken care of,he shouldn't have any problems with it.A Lot of people live long lives with it.Hes no different. I don't feel sorry for him because he has it either.I feel worse for people who cannot afford to get supplies,or doctor care to manage it."

Does Nick Jonas have Diabetes!? If he does... that so sad!! Can he get better!? Is he gonna die!!! Is it cureable! ? He so cute and sweet. So is that why hes the " mature and calm" one! Ive heard it before! OMG!!! I HOPE HE GETS BETTER IF HE IS SICK!

i ♥ sksk replied: "no! he doesn't have diabetes his fine i think his cute!"

Beca replied: "no i dont believe he has it but im not postitive"

ashleytisdale replied: "NO"

ktlovesjb replied: "It pains me to say this... But all of you are wrong... He does have diabetes. He's not going to die though. Do not worry about that. He's doing great. Here's the video:"

Why do people not feel bad for Nick Jonas, or criticize him, becaue he has Diabetes? Personally, I feel bad for anyone who has an illness, whether they're a celebrity or not. No one should ever put down someone else just because they have an illness. Anyone who is sick or has diabetes or any other illness can't help it, and it's tough for anyone to deal with, whether you're a celebrity or not. And yeah, they have a lot of money....but I bet you didn't know that they donate 15 percent of it each year to their charity to help kids with diabetes. So people say that they're too busy to help other people, but really every day they work, and every penny they make, helps other people. Here's their website if you don't believe me So don't say that it doesn't matter if someone has a serious illness....that's just rude. You have to remember that he is a person just like you and I and everyone else, and he had Diabetes long before they became famous. It shouldn't matter if you like or dislike the Jonas Brothers, you shouldn't judge someone because they have an illness. What do you think? I agree that he should be treated the same as other people with an illness....which also means that people shouldn't say they don't feel bad for him at all. Just my opinion. :)

♫Mallory. {Anti-Jonas/fan girls} replied: "Check out my question. It's concerning the same matter. Diabetes is sad...but he's not the only one.."

crzyJoBrolvr replied: "u r so right !!!!!!!!!!! if u guys had diabetes u would not like it people made fun of u!"

Sarah =] replied: "um well.. if i had an illness i wouldnt want people babying me. id wanna be kjust like any other kid."

dcfbhnjkmfr replied: "I agree. People have what he has, and way worse, but it doesn't mean it's easy. and they are helping people. they donated 10,000 dollars to St.Judes. and went there and visited all the kids."

D.Man replied: "If you take one minute aside from idolizing them and see what challenges are effecting others, then you'll truley understand. Donating money is nothing, anyone can do that. See how they are living compared to your rich celebrities who probably could care less."

Little Big Dave replied: "You shouldn't fawn over them, either. It's not that it's a great thing that he has it, we just get tired of seeing "I soooooooo crYE3d Wh3n i FoUnD oUt abowT Itt!" I'll tell you something else, too. Truly classy people don't look for sympathy at every turn for having something like that. They insist on living their lives normally despite having to maybe take a few extra precautions. It just doesn't make him as special as people seem to think it does."

nicole4064 replied: "OMG i totally agree! & i mean i feel really bad too cuz of all hes going through with being on tour with tons of fans, new albums, and it must be really stressfull for him as it is, and now he has diabetes on top of all of that. so i totally agree with you and its really low when people like make fun of him or anyone else with an illness, cuz they cant help it and they probably dont have any idea what it feels like. and its so weird cuz im listening to a little bit longer right nowww! the song he wrote about his diabeetes !!!! yaaayy! :]"

kimberly e aka Miley/Jonas Hater replied: "How is he any more special than all the other people with diabetes. I don't see all these fans feeling sorry for them. All they care about is their precious Nick. My grandma died of diabetes a few weeks ago and people die of it all the time, but none of you would care. But if Nick died you would all be the cause of a major flood."

Duy N replied: "i really dont care if people has an illness since i kno wen they die it be gone or pass on so it really not my problem kuz everybody die and life is not always fair but in the end i hate the jonas brothers they are like the three stooges when they had hair"

Christina H replied: "ummmmm theres aLOT of diseases and theres plenty of people who have way more serious ones then diabetes. people dont judge him because of it, just no one likes them unless the persons 13 years old.. dont beee blaming his disease as a reason to dislke them theyre gross."

Loyal23 replied: "why do people feel like I'm supposed to be impressed when rich people donate money to worthy causes? He's not any more important then anyone else who has it.I have a cousin who has it,and an aunt who had it.No one is putting them on a pesistal or making them out to be hereos.I'm not judging him because he has it,that would be stupid.People act like because he's famous, his is more important.I'm judging based on talent, which he doesn't have. Good question.*starred*"

HandcuffedByBeingAStar replied: "Yeah. People will have their own opinion no matter what whether a illness is there or not. Nobody deserves to be put down with negative comments."

Lily pad ♥ replied: "yehh dudee haha i was at the concertt and when he started playing his song.. every grl was crying.. i was holding like 4 random strangers b/c they were crying nick was crying too i just wanted to run up on the stage and make out ahah"

Lilly B replied: "i think that's its bad and i don't know why people make fun of them"

CrankDatGAB replied: "Good point put forward. I agree with you but I think he would probably rather not be singled out and have people feel sorry for him just 'cause he has diabetes. There is about 1.4 million people just in the UK who have it that know about (probably so much more that don't, as well) and I just think he would probably rather not be pitied. But I really agree with with the fact that no one who has an illness should be put down because it isn't their fault."

FUTURE CELEBRITY!!! replied: "we should all care!!"

xobr00kexo4 replied: "i feel bad for him! they do so much for people with diabetes! i think it is soo sweet. and it must be hard living with it and you are a musician because if your blood sugar is low; you can like pass out. same thing with people that have it and are not star's. i support diabetes for nick jonas AND for my daddy :] peace.love.jonas ♥"

I am writing a paper about nick jonas and..? i don't know how to end my paper. Here it is so far: As he loosens his guitar strap, thousands of screaming girls are waiting for him and his two older brothers to begin the show. His sparkling green guitar catches the stage lights as he rises from under the stage. Every fan in the stadium goes crazy, as Nick Jonas strums the first chord of the concert. Who would have thought the seven year old boy, who was discovered in a Barber shop would be touring the world with his two older brothers, Joe and Kevin? Before Nick was thirteen he starred in five musicals including, Les Misérables, Beauty and the Beast, Annie Get Your Gun, A Christmas Carol and The Sounds of Music. In 2004 Nick began working on a self titled solo album. But instead when the producer heard his two older brothers sing back up, he decided to sign all three of them. They later released their first album, “Its About Time.” But, before Nick Jonas became famous, he was just your average kid living in Wyckoff, New Jersey. His parents, Denise and Paul are also involved in music. All three boys agree their parents are the reason they got involved in music. As children, their parents often traveled because of their Christian band, and they boys automatically knew that is what they wanted to do in life. As a kid, Nick enjoyed singing and soccer. He admits that when he was younger he didn’t have many friends because no one understood what he did. While he was singing on Broadway, his class mates were learning how to write in cursive, and the most important thing to them was who could swing the highest on the swings at recess. It is an understatement to say that Nick Jonas was not your average first grader. Although many people know him as the “curly haired” one, Nick is much more than that. When he was 13 Nick was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. At first he felt confused, and often thought “why me?” but, he later realized, “why not me.” Nick knew that he would be able to spread hope and comfort for children with diabetes everywhere and hopefully make them feel stronger. Another thing you probably didn’t know about him is that he is very quiet, unlike his outgoing brother, Joe. In the past nick has said, "I'm not shy, but I am quiet. I don't like to meet a lot of people at one time.” Nick also tends to disappear at random times to be on his own. He likes to get away from the craziness and write lyrics. The Jonas Brothers write all the lyrics to their songs. Whenever something is on his mind Nick loves to get it out by making it into a song. Although Nick can be quiet some times, you can’t forget he has done some amazing things, and seen some awesome places. So it is easy to imagine he has a lot of cool facts. During a concert, you can see him doing one handed cart wheels and back flips off the second level of the stage onto the first. During the Burnin’ Up Tour, Nick played three instruments, including the guitar, drums and piano. However, being a teen heart throb comes with some weird stories; Nick has a few crazy fan encounters. Nick told people magazine, “A girl followed us to the bathroom, and a guy who was in there looks at Joe and me and says, "I hate you, you stink!" We were like, "Sorry, dude." It was really funny. Joe and I were laughing.” Another funny fan moment happened multiple times during the Summer 2008 Burnin’ Up Tour; fans would stand in front of their tour bus. Of course, they didn’t run them over but made a point to say it’s not cute anymore, you could get hurt. Okay, if you don't like JB then why the heck are you answering the question??? I would appreciate APPROPRIATE COMMENTS, I"m sorry the jonas brothers have stnadards and your too stupid too understand that. PEACE LOVE JONAS

toomanypetzz replied: "Nick Jonas is in love with Tom Cruise.. The end."

Shanney Weasley replied: "Who writes a paper on Nick Jonas? :| It's sad that people would use someone like him as a subject of a paper. Think about history. If this is a music class, why wouldn't you use someone more well known, successful, talented and legendary then the fricking Jonas Brothers."

ana2rosa2003 replied: "When I was in school, I had to write papers about people who actually MATTERED. Well, the dumbing down of America continues. Indian students study math, science, history and computers. Our students major in Jonass Brothers studies."

Jonas Addict <3 replied: "i love it! they are the greatest boys arent they? anyway... i dunno you should just go over everything you already said... like kind of recap and say, because of all this, nick jonas is a tremendous musician, celebrity, brother and person! hope i helped :) note: zach, they weren't found in a bar! get your facts straight smarty! NICK WAS FOUND IN A FRICKIN BARBER SHOP! when he was 6! so nice job making an ass of yourself! looks like me and the asker are the only ones on here with any brains!"

~Lil Birdy~ (Pro-Jonas) replied: "Sorry, I'm not even going to read all that....but I will say, even tho I absolutely adore JB, I wouldn't write a paper about them.....that's kinda weird and obsessive. And if you have to read it out loud in class, chances are everyone's going to laugh at you......"

Nick Jonas is my superman!<3 replied: "I think that it is great so far! Uh maybe you could end it by saying that is why Nick Jonas is so awesome or something like that? I LOVE them! They are great! Especially Nick!<3 Happy Holidayz!:)"

myKnight in Skinny Jeans ♥jb replied: "cool! so for the end you could say something like: There have been highs and lows for this band of brothers. They have adoring fans, and they have haters. They were nominated for Best New Artist of the Year, for the Grammys this February. Nick, Joe, and Kevin have fought their way to the top. Nick has showed us that nothing can slow him down. He has a genuine passion for not only what he does, but who he does it for. No one can fully understand the love a Jonas fan has for these boys. Sure, they have amazing looks, talent, and play on the strings of teenage hearts everywhere at sold out shows; but in the end, we know Nicholas Jerry Jonas, and his two brothers as three hometown boys from Wyckoff, New Jersey, who have music in their souls, and want to share it with the world. hope i helped! xoxo"

What's Nick Jonas' real last name? Well most of us know Nick Jonas is adopted! If you don't here is the interview of when it was found out! Youngest Jonas Brother Reveals: "I'm Adopted!" Wycoffe, NJ, 5 October 2008 - Nick Jonas, 16, of the smash hit pop trio the Jonas Brothers, revealed today that he was adopted as an infant. "For a long time, we kept this secret in our family, to support our image as a band of three brothers, but I have to tell the truth," said Nick. "I don't think it will hurt our image -- if anything, it makes us stronger. We love our fans and we know they will support us no matter what. " Nick was born to close family friends of Denise and Kevin, the other boys' biological parents. Several months before Nick's birth, the couple decided they wanted an abortion. But Kevin, a former pastor, "doesn't believe in that," Nick said. "So he and my mom offered to take me in. They've been awesome parents, nothing but supportive, and I couldn't ask for anyone better. " Nick previously shocked his fanbase in 2005 when he announced at a concert that he had been diagnosed with Type I diabetes. and then theres In a recent interview Nick Jonas of the 'Jonas Brothers' revealed that he was abandoned by his biological parents after birth and was taken in by the Jonas family, close friends of his biological parents. “My parents left me a week after I was born,” Nick Jonas explains. “The Jonas’ were close to my parents. They took me in, and treated me as their own. ” When asked, Kevin Jonas Sr. explained what had happened. “We had known Nick’s biological parents for years. Nick was just unplanned, and they had no money to raise the child. They asked if Denise and I would take care of him.” After a minute he then said, “They were too embarrassed to be around him as he grew up. We never had the heart to tell Nick, we knew it would hurt too much. Though the other night he approached us with a copy of his original birth certificate, and we knew the jig was up. ” Fighting with diabetes and dealing with being an adopted child is taking a toll on child star Nick Jonas. After answering several questions, he left briefly and allowed his adoptive father to finish the interview. His biological parents’ names have not been released yet. So anyone wanna guess his real last name?

The Jonas Brothers, Diabetes.? hi. okay so my little brother jus this year (on my birthday) got diagnosed with type one diabetes. The Jonas Brothers/Hannah Montana are coming to my city and i was wondering if anybody new if i could some how contact them in hope to surprise my brother and meeting/talking to nick jonas, the brother with type one diabetes. Its mmy brothers birthday a week or two before the concert and if anybody has any thoughts about if this could happen or not, or how i could make this happen PLEASE let me know. it would mean so much to him if this happened and i think it could really help him out.

Bigmac replied: "im sorry to hear that, but im sure contacting disney would get you to a rep who could put you through to someone"

Bill T replied: "Awwwwwwwwwwwwwww. Thats nice. Contact ur local ticketmaster"

phlygirl replied: "man you will never get close enough to talk to them , and even if you could, they wouldn't want to hang and talk about diabetes. no offense. why not write to him and see if he'll write your bro back."

J replied: "Honestly, I think you should care for your brother's health more than getting him visiting a 'famous' diabetic. You could probably contact them through their myspace band page or their personal website (which is located on their myspace band page). But personally, I don't think they'll read through all the email, and letters fast enough. I'd rather get him something from the heart(: Like a homemade scrapbook of how you love him, than talking to someone famous who won't even remember him."

bama_turtle replied: "I've tried researching for you. This is the address to their recording company according to Discogs: Hollywood Records 500 S. Buena Vista St. Burbank, CA 91521 USA I would recommend you send them a letter explaining your brothers health to the attention of the Jonas Brothers and perhaps a picture of your brother. They also have a myspace page where I think you can try to message them and let them know about your brother. I have diabetes and I'd have to say you are awesome for wanting to this for your little brother."

Do you think Nick Jonas would reply back to this? let me know what you guys think and if u think he will. Dear Nick, I have written this letter 20 times because I am so nervous I know you probably won't respond to this you are one of the greatest musicians ever. But you are my hero. I never listened to the Jonas brothers before 2006 but now I listen to you guys all the time. When I heard you had Diabetes I had been very well educated about it cause of my dad. See he like you was diagnosed in 2005 but unlike you his heart was skipping a beat. but the first thing still going through my mind was no why does it have to be him. At the time I just thought you and your brothers were great people raised up by great parents. Well now I know that you guys are not only great people raised up by great parrents But you guys also have hearts of gold. and are great singers. I don't know if you would even care for a fan like me but I hope that you please write back. I will be your fan anyway and still hope that I can meet you guys face to face. But it would mean alot. If it is not to much of a bother can you guys please write back and send a autographed photo. Nick you are and always will be my hero. Thank you for giving me Hope. Love Nina Waters P.S. thank you so much

Help!! My endocrinologist is acting physco what do i do?!? I have been going through the process of possibly being diagnosed with diabetes. I was assigned to Dr. Silverman when i was in the hospital for a kidney infection 12 days ago. When i left the hospital he had me monitoring my blood sugar because it had been in the 200's while i was in the hospital. Over the weekend it stayed around the low 200's and 100's. Concerned, he had me come in that monday for a check up. It started when the receptionist and the nurse called me a "diabetic". They took my fasting blood glucose and it was 117 and from the same finger prick they took my A1c which was 6.5%. He then told me that he was diagnosing me with type 1 diabetes and he wanted to start me on insulin immediately. I was shocked not only because being diagnosed is a huge deal but i felt like i hadn't had any tests done and i just wasn't convinced as i was still on medication and i had been sick in bed for the past two months. He started to get flustered because we weren't doing what he recommended and he told us he had NEVER had a wrong diagnoses and continued to name drop on how he was Nick Jonas's diabetes doctor before he got famous. Then when we asked how i would have got diabetes because i have no family history he told me i have "bad luck". He also threatened us by saying if my parents let me go much longer without insulin and i got sicker he would call DS (diphus) on us and force me on insulin. We then preceded to have an oral glucose test. Dr. Silverman called us later in the week with the results, this is where the story gets twisted. He told us my blood glucose before the test was 110, at 30 minutes-223, at 1 hour-257, at 1 hour and 30 minutes-106. And then there was a 5th number of 378. I only had my blood drawn 4 times yet he gave us five numbers. When we questioned him he said that the tubes must have gotten mixed up in the lab. He gave us the c-peptide which was 1.6%. And my 3 insulin levels of 5.2, 13.2, and 14.3. Then he told us again, he wanted me to come in immediately and start me on insulin. Of course, we wanted a second opinion, which we have a right to. He told us two of his partners he wanted us to go to and had them call our house and leave voicemails. My dad told him we were going to see someone outside of his practice. Dr. Silverman then said for us to tell him who we go to see for the second opinion because he wanted to call them first. We obviously wouldn't do that because we dont want the our second opinion to be influenced by his. We were looking to go to the Joslin Diabetes Center in Boston. My mom later emailed doctor silverman asking about my oral glucose test results and why they showed that i needed to be on insulin immediately. He responded back without answering my moms questions and gave us a whole different set of numbers now with my c-peptide being 0 and going back to the origninal 5 numbers he gave us saying there was no mix up. When we emailed him back and my dad also called him, he didnt answer the phone and didnt respond to the emails. He left a voicemail on my dads phone later that night saying "How dare we quesition his integrity" and ranting at my parents about how we were making the wrong decisions. Again, he wouldnt answer when we called back. This morning, my pediatrition called telling us that Dr. Silverman had called her and told her that if we didnt get a second opinion today that he was calling DS on my parents because i was extremely sick and needed to be on insulin immediately. My parents called him, and he wouldnt answer. We emailed him and he emailed these few words back, "Whats your decision". He is continuing to call my pediatrics office and asking them if we have scheduled an appointment yet. We're making an appointment today but we have no idea what is really going on with my results. He's been very sketchy the entire proccess and is continuing to give us different results. Where do i go from here? How can we get away from him?? By the way, my numbers have been in much lower ranges for the past 4 days. No numbers going over 180. And i've been checking for ketones in my urine and i've had none. Thanks to everyone just another note... My parents went and got my paperwork from the hospital today and we are waiting for the new endocronogolist to call us back about the appointment. I only got my blood drawn four times yet they came back with five results so we really have no idea if they even did the test right. Everything else in my body is perfectly normal the only thing is my blood glucose levels have a little high. Is it possible to make a diagnoses based soely on those numbers? I just dont understand because my c peptide is 1.6 which is normal. Doesnt that mean my body is producing insulin? And my correct numbers for the oral glucose test are before-110, 30 min.-203, 1 hr.-338, 1 1/2 hr.-106, and 2 hr.-370. BUT, they told me they didnt need to do the 2 hour test and so i left after the 1 and 1/2 hour, so we really have no idea where that number came from. Now, the 203 & 338 numbers are higher than normal for that test, could that indicate dibetes? Or something else? Also...my c peptide when i was in the hosptial was 6.2 and when i went for my checkup after it was 6.5. What does that mean? Thanks to everyone. I just got back from my meeting with my new endo and i am now offically diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. Its a very hard time but ill hopefully get through it.

German Shepard replied: "Have your parents send him a registered letter requesting a copy of your medical records including all medical records and clinical notes both hand written and typed. They should also inform him you will be being seen by a new doctor, they are not required to tell him who. All future conversation should be in written form, either letters or e-mail. Your records are not his property and your parents have a right to a copy. You should always get copies of your lab tests so you can track trends. Let him report your parents to DS (assume it is your states child protection agency), they will do an investigation, as long as you have an appointment with another doctor the investigation will be unfounded. Your parents can also file a complaint with the state medical board. Remember he works for your parents, they can fire him with or without cause. You may want to edit your post and refer to him as Dr. S as there are several endos with that last name around the country."

Monica replied: "He seems to be acting in an unethical manner, which is enough reason to find a new doctor and never see him again. It's common practice to get a second opinion, it shouldn't faze him a bit. And his diagnosis sounds a bit fishy too. As your first responder said, go get your records yourself. He doesn't need to know who you're going to see next."

Gary B replied: "this does sound a little strange. get a second opinion from a different endocrinologist. There are one. possibly two tests you should take. 1) The A1C test. A NORMAL reading is between 5 and 6. A reading OVER 7 indicates that you are diabetic. A reading between 6 and 7 MIGHT indicate that you are diabetic, but it MIGHT indicate that you have a bad diet. You have been sick recently, but the A1C test take a 90-day average of your blood sugars, so recent, sudden illness (like a kidney infection) do NOT affect the A1C reading. In your case the doctor should look at the A1C reading (6.5) and then ask for a Glucose Tolerance Test. This test is more time consuming, and takes 3-4 hours. but the Glucose Tolerance Test is definitive. if you fail this test, you ARE diabetic, and need to begin treatment right away. Since you are young, the diagnose of Type 1 Diabetes is probably accurate, UNLESS you are extremely overweight. Due to children who prefer to play video games instead of basketball and riding bikes, the amount of Type 2 Diabetes in younger children (less than 18) is growing at an alarming rate. Get the second opionion FIRST. if necessary AKS FOR the A1C test, and have the second doctor go over the results with you. But all in all, I don;t care of the doctor treated Nick Jonas or Jonas Salk, I think you need to see a different doctor. You "get away" from this doctor by simply going to a differnt doctor. Dr. Silverman CAN call Child Protective Services, but when they find out you are being treated by a different doctor, they will simply close the case and ignore his complaints."

dingding replied: "You need to discontinue seeing him immediately. Regardless of his motives, you don't have to see any doctor you're uncomfortable with. First, make an urgent appointment with another endocrinologist, and briefly describe your situation with Dr. Silverman. Chances are he already has a reputation so they'll probably get you in quickly. It sounds like you are in the early stages of Type 1, so this can't wait, they need to see you within 2-3 days. Your parents should fax and mail a letter to his office stating that you have another endocrinologist and that his office is not to contact you any further. Then get into the new doc and insist on blood work, which they should do anyway. Write down all of your interactions with Dr. Silverman, including dates and times if possible, to ensure that you have some facts to fall back on if DS pays you a visit. Save those voice mails if possible. Once things settle down, report him to the state medical board so they can investigate. He might be starting to suffer dementia."

Tin S replied: "If the blood glucose was between 200 mg/dl and 250 mg/dl for at least 1 hour after stimulation after a normal overnight fast of 80-120mg/dl AND the C-Peptide result is low or NEGATIVE then it is highly likely that this is a TRUE TYPE 1 DIABETES case."
