theCardiffGiant replied: "It does not work. Any effects are psychological, like placebo (sugar pills). If you believe that something you're doing is healthy, and if you want to be healthy, you'll generally do lots of little things to make yourself healthier along the way.
But it does not work long term, acai doesn't have any genuine health benefits, and it is marketed by scammers as a miracle cure. The only thing amazing about it is the profit that they make from desperate people. Please stay away.
The only thing that works is diet and exercise. And by diet, I don't mean a program, like "THE SUCH AND DIET" or the "I only eat fruit diet."
Diet means what you do on a regular basis, and what you need to do is to control calories. It will seem difficult at first, but when you realize how many empty calories you take in, and how much control you have over it, it becomes relatively easy to manage.
However, it will always seem impossible, and it will always leave you in search of miracles until that reality clicks for you.
I've lost 15 lbs in the past two weeks by making sure that I don't eat more than 1500 calories a day, and by spending 30 minutes on an elliptical machine. The younger you are, though, the more calories you'll need.
(As we age our need to create new cells decreases, and our calorie needs diminish. Most people continue to eat at the same high levels, beyond what their bodies need, and so gain weight as they age.)
It doesn't matter much where those calories come from, but you'll want to make sure that you get all of the vitamins and minerals you need, so it should come from real food like vegetables and meat, rather than bread and soft drinks. The website linked below will help you to monitor what you're eating.
The only proven way to lose or to maintain one's weight is through controlling calories. They enter your body in the form of food and drinks, and they leave through physical exertion.
Your body is a kind of machine, and calories are the fuel. But if you flood the engine, you get poor performance or you just plain stall."
Kal-El replied: "If you have been eating right and working out for 6 months with NO results, then;
A) your trainer sucks
B) your diet sucks
..My guess, since diet is 80-85% of the fight, its your diet. You do NOT need acai berry to lose weight. Humans are ment to be healthy. You NEED to change your diet and, possibly your trainer. If you have not lost any weight in 6 months then that tells us that you are burning the same amount of calories that you are taking in, ergo you are not losing weight.
You should be eating 5-6 meals a day to speed up you matabalism and your diet should be high in protien. No results in 6 months calls fora drastic change in your diet.
Zalamel, you are wrong. I could workout for 5 hours a day and burn 5000 calories, but if I go to McDonalds and eat 5000 calories (which is easy to do at McDonalds) all my workout goes down the drain.
On the other hand, I can not workout one minute and burn 2000 calories from just my daily activites (walking, laughing, and yes even breathing). And if I only eat/consume 1500 calories, well, I just burned 500 calories from fat (and possible muscle if I am not taking a good multi-vitamin).
I am not saying do not workout, I am saying you NEED a good diet to lose weight, the workout is only 15-20% of the weight loss fight. DIET IS CRITICAL!"
Lisa replied: "I have been through it all and know what's it about. The main thing is to stick in there. You can't be an addict to food and never exercise if you want to live a healthy life and keep the weight off. I've worked out, done every diet, and all types of classes.
Nothing works, besides dedication and intelligence towards the subject of losing weight.
First, depending on how much weight you need to lose, your diet is the first concern. You can't eat 10,000 calories a day and expect the weight to come off, even if you are exercising a lot. Which brings us to the next thing. Duh, Exercising...
This is a must especially if you need to a lot of weight. Get at least 30 mins of some good hardcore exercising. Do some cardio, in the long run, it's good for the heart.
However, I find the most hardest part of losing weight/keeping it off, in my diet. It's so hard to keep your fingers out of the cookie jar or those chocolate goodies. I've found a great addition to help any one out, it's a natural weight loss supplement called Proactol. Now don't get all crazy on me and say diet pills don't work. That is true, but not in this case. This one isn't meant to burn pounds while you sit on the couch. It's an appetite suppressant, along with being a fat binder. I saved money on the pills at theweightlossplace.com along with getting some good info. It basically makes those fingers not go towards the cookie jar. For me it's the best pill I've tried and I've tried cupboards full. Now this doesn't mean you have to follow my foot steps but I've successfully lost roughly 70 pounds and keeping it off til this day.
Well good luck and remember what I said, Dedicate."
The Pure Acai Berry Diet Pill - Does it work? I've heard about this diet pill for ages. It was on Oprah and tons of news about this berry everywhere too. I wanted to know if you've tried this, does it work? I am determined to diet and exercise, but would like to also have something to help me as well. So, what are your experiences on this?
PS: No negative responses. I'm not looking for that, just looking for some helpful answers. Thanks.
Morgan R replied: "If it is a good quality acai berry product, then yes, it is worth it. Acai is the best known antioxidant fruit that is known on the planet. The antioxidants in acai help to cleanse your body. The natural lipids in acai help to give you more energy and stamina. The fiber in acai helps digestion and fat loss.
I've been using acai berry products for a couple of months now and I've noticed that yes they do work. I used them when I wanted to trim off about 15lbs.
I knew that diet and exercise alone would help achieve that goal alone but I needed something to help me with my mid afternoon snacking urges. This is where I found the acai berry really helped me.
It helped to curb those mid afternoon urges which meant when I went out jogging later that night I wasn't just jogging to work off that bag of Doritios I snacked on around 3pm instead I was actually working off the weight I wanted..
After a couple months I now no longer needed the supplements and can manage my weight more easily, so I found that yes they really did help speed up my weight loss goals when I used them along with a diet and exercise program, as the berries gave me more energy and helped to curb my appetite
I got my free trial bottle from the site below"

Lisa H replied: "It's really helped me lose a lot of weight. I saw it on Oprah too but was doing the acai berry before that cause it was so great. This is what I did, I found this free trial that all I had to do was pay like 6 bucks for s/h at theweightlossplace.com , I got it and it worked great then I decided to commit further. I've lost over 40 pounds so far and it's great. You feel great and have plenty of energy.
Well good luck and I hope this helps"
Allen M replied: "I've used it and it worked for me, but keep in mind that you do still have to eat healthy and exercise. It's just a supplement to make your body work better, it's not a magic weight loss pill.
It looks like you are on the right track though if you are determined to both diet and exercise. Most people just diet but don't exercise either because they don't have time or are lazy.
You may want to combine the Acai Berry with a weight loss tea like this girl did here:
As far as which brand of Acai you get, I don't think it really matters. They all contain the same core ingredients according to
Hope everything goes great for you! Keep up the determination and I know you'll succeed."

The acai berry is really high in anti-oxidants and really helps people loose weight . There are lots of health advantages to acai berries, but they must be frozen right after harvest to make sure they retain thier maximum potency. One of the major brands of acai suppliments is vital acai. Lately, many talk show hosts have done profiles on the health benefits of acai."

Acai Berry diet, does it work? I see ads for it everywhere lately and it was on Oprah, Rachel Ray, CNN, and more. I just need a little boost to my routine and I've read that it works. Does anyone know first hand or know someone that has used it?
Thanks so much to everyone giving such great answers!! You've been such a help!
Max replied: "Acai berries actually work and they work well. It's really an amazing weight loss supplement. Been using it for 2 months already, lost 50lbs. And the best thing about acai fruits, is that they keep me energized for the whole day. Even my wife said, that my mood increased since I started taking acai :)
You can read more about this acai thing on this website
That site also has exclusive offer, and you can grab Acai Berry Power 500 free bottle for $1 (basically you just pay for shipping and handling).
I hope this helps ;)

Allen M replied: "I have used it and was able to lose a few pounds, but it's important to remember that you do still have to eat right and exercise. It's not some magic pill that magically makes you lose weight like some people want you to believe.
You may want to consider combining the Acai diet with another supplement like a weight loss tea, like this girl does here:
If you already have a good diet/weight loss routine and just want the extra little boost, the Acai Berry will probably work great for you. Some people just take it by itself and expect it to do everything and then complain when it doesn't work, but they were really just too lazy to meet it half way."

Jan M replied: "First hand - I've been using Acai products for years - since the days people thought I was a quirky health nut.
On the weight loss front, as a supplement and to give your weight loss efforts a little extra buzz, Acai diet supplements are a real boost.
Keep things realistic though. Forget the hype with the "weight melts away" kind of approach. If that where happening I'd be more concerned about my overall health than some extra pounds...
The Acai is a tempermental little beauty though. It tends to deteriorate quite quickly after being picked and ALL the goodness in the berry comes from the 20% pulp. The seeds are worthless.
Weight loss benefits: Fiber, Amino Acids, Omegas, Phytosterols. All these combine to speed up your metabolism and help you burn more calories as energy, providing an effective boost to your weight loss.
Make sure the product you consider is made from freeze dried PULP extract, not seeds. Also make sure you know the quantity of Acai in the capsules.
For a full 50mg of freeze dried acai pulp extract, plus added Green Tea Extract, have a look at the website below.
Hope this helps"
