Can drawing salve work on acne or eczema? What are some other uses for drawing salve? Would it be safe for children (ages 4 and 9)? And where would I be able to buy it? Thanks for any answers!

Billme replied: "Hi, Watch this video to see how it is treated in Japan. You can get the water for free in America, and other places too. Check on and ask for some 8.5 PH drinking water in the wanted add. Then ask if the same machine can make the 2.5 pH water for free. Good Luck!"

Guru replied: "There is this new popular cream that people have been talking about. It was even televised on TV. It prevents future and existing acne, diminishes scars, and lightens skin and blemishes. Fast results too! (It has been claimed that major results can be seen within a week and no later than two weeks) Before and After photos are available at the given ebay site. This person is providing 1-3 week trial samples (Only for ONE DOLLAR.. definitely a deal) on ebay at: Search up "best acne solution ever" on ebay. First 100 customers can get the item for $1 for one week trial and up to 3 weeks. Or you can buy the whole container for $160 It's expensive, but the product DOES work. My sister and cousin who both have major acne have tried the product and they both give it thumbs up. I have also heard many great feedbacks about this cream. I don't have a problem with acne, but it seems to have great results on my sister who has moderate to severe acne. Her acne swelling went away overnight. I hope this helps. =)"

nitin p replied: "children's skin is sensitive and should be taken extra care of. They cannot withstand any thing which is too chemically adulterated. Why don't you consult your GP or at least try using natural cures. This might work for you"

Does drawing salve work on acne or eczema? What are some other uses for drawing salve? Would it be safe for children (ages 4 and 9)? And where would I be able to buy it? I asked this question earlier in a different section and the only answers I got were spam.

Phoretuna replied: "Drawing salve is usually petroleum based so I would not use it for acne. If you are talking about a drawing salve that has pine tar/oil and petro based it is safe for kids that age. I have seen it used on boils and staph. A very warm but damp cloth is used on the affected area until some of the pus is brought to the surface, clean this away ,cover with salve and bandage. This is for acute cases. Exzema is sooo varied for causes, I would not use ANY petro based product on it. It can also draw out the sting and itch out of bug bites and rashes, avoid the obvious lower regions for this product. Prid's is the main drawing salve I know about, these products have been around for a long time.Good Luck"

blade replied: "NOOOOO ..I tried it 2 weeks ago on one zit. My entire face got infected fuul of pus and swelled up like the elephant man. Had to get an antibiotic..I used PRID"

Has anyone used Prid Drawing Salve for acne? I bought some and thought I'd ask if anyone had used it before I try it. Please don't answer unless you've actually tried it. Thanks :) 10 pts best answer!

Takara-Chan replied: "I might have tried it a long time ago, but I don't think it did anything for me."

Sephora-RoseBud Salve on Acne? I heard from a friend that the RoseBud Salve from 'RoseBud Perfume Co.' helps treat acne! Is this true?

TrickyTiger replied: "I find that hard to believe!!! But try?"

Has anyone used a comfrey salve for acne? Will it make me break out more? So I have this comfrey salve i've made - comfrey, calendula, plantain, chickweed - all the good skin healers and regenerators. Now, I'm wondering if I can use them after I have a zit - to speed the healing process and make the red spot go away. I've been using it as a daily application, like for 30 minutes at a time. Should I apply a glob and leave some on overnight? Because of the olive oil will it make my face break out or no?

Lisa J replied: "It should be fine. It won't make you break out more. Go ahead! All the best Lisa J"

tia_ga replied: "Ive had a problem with acne from 6 years ago and have used anything and everything. Everytime i used something new, i would always break out and then everything would clear out. Dont worry about a breakout after trying a new medication because that just means that it is clearing out your skin. give it time and it will go away. hope this helps"

romans8verse14and15 replied: "I'm not certain I would use a salve on pimples, but you could make a poultice of the herbs you mentioned. I have suffered from skin problems (pizza face) my whole life, I am in my mid 30's and thought I would live with this forever. To be blunt, if your bowels are moving on a regular basis (what goes in must come out, if you are eating 3X a day, you should poop 3x a day). I have not had a blemish in a long time and the eczema on my hand is completely gone. I accomplished this through eliminating processed foods, most meat, and all dairy. I eat mostly rice, veggies, fruits and generous with EVOO. Everything else in moderation. Good luck with the poultice!"

does vick's salve work on clearing up acne? i heard it does work, but i'd like to hear from someone else. has anyone tried it? help please.

MiCopChick replied: "Most salves will CAUSE acne actually! Its loaded with pore clogging ingredients! Please get something that is specifically FOR acne."

Pink Denial replied: "That sounds like a horrible idea to me! Vick's is oil-based. Oil causes acne. Why would someone use an oily product to cure a condition cause by oil?"

Neka replied: "i haven't heard of that one but is seems like it would clog your pores terribly. you can always try is on a pimple and see what happens, just don't get it near your eyes. i have heard that lemon juice will clear up blackheads, swab it on and leave it on overnight then rinse with warm water in the morning."

Acne Scar cream? I'm looking for a good cream, gel...anything of that sort to remove acne scars. I have some dark spots on my face from past pimples. I rarely get pimples now, but the scars are still there. I just want my face to be clear and evenly toned. What can I use to clear these marks? I've also done some searches here on yahoo answers and found the following treatments for acne scars: Black Salve, Mederma, Duac, Cod liver oil, Freederm, Tri-Luma, Scarguard. Most of these I've never heard of. Which of them actually works? If there's another cream out there that works, pls let me know.

Ways to treat Cystic Acne? I'm 18 years old and I have cystic acne. I get them on my face and in my pubic region also. Ive tried shaving, thinking that may help, but it only makes things worse. And I make sure to keep myself clean so its definately not a hygene issue. They're SO painful, and I need some over the counter ways to prevent myself from breaking out with these! I was on perscribed medication, but we got taken off of medical aid so now we cant afford my medicine. I put this salve crap on them when they get super painful, and that helps draw the pus out sometimes. Also I get scars from them once theyve healed up. Do you know how i could get rid of those also? Please help me!!!

rustybones replied: "There isn't any "over the counter" medicines that will help. You need to be on prescribed meds. Find a job to pay for the meds or find a clinic that can help you out. As for the scars, the only thing that will lessen them is dermabrasion or chemical peels."

J D replied: "Hi there. I'm sorry to hear that you're in pain. What many people aren't aware of is most soaps and cleansers on the market contain mineral oil, the molecular structure of which is too large to penetrate into the pores of our skin so it sits on the top layer like saran wrap. This causes dirt and debris to collect on our face, thus causing our skin problems. They also contain harmful ingredients such as alcohol, wax, dyes, chemicals, fragrances, etc which strip your skins acid mantel (its protective layer) and causes irritation, dryness, and more skin problems. You don't want to DRY out your face because your skin will try to overcompensate by producing more oil. You might want to try Arbonne. It's a Swiss company that is regulated by the FDA and formulates their products without the ingredients listed above. Their products are botanically based and beneficial for all skin types. Arbonne has a great acne line where people have seen amazing results! They also have a great dietary supplement to support skin from the inside out targeting troubled skin with vitamins, minerals and L-Lysine, an amino acid. Stay away from touching your skin as it encourages the spread of bacteria and excess oils, leading to breakouts. Also, excessive cleansing and scrubbing can make acne worse. I would be happy to help you if you're open to giving it a try. Good luck."
